Embarking on a journey of experiential learning, the Food & Beverage Service Associates trainees from Don Bosco Tech Kuarmunda center delved into the vibrant world of hospitality during their visit to Hotel Pahadi in Rourkela on March 16, 2024. Accompanied by their dedicated trainers, Mr. Ram Narayan Mishra and Mr. Sarada Prasad Nanda, the trainees were warmly greeted by Mr. Ganesh Sahoo, the Front Office Manager, who offered a comprehensive insight into the nuances of the hospitality industry in Odisha.

Immersing themselves in the bustling atmosphere of Hotel Pahadi, the trainees had the opportunity to explore various facets of hotel operations, from front office management to housekeeping, F&B Service, and food production. They were guided through different room types, restaurant facilities, and banquet halls, gaining invaluable firsthand experience of daily hotel operations.

Under the mentorship of Mr. Satyajit Giri, the F&B Manager, the trainees delved into the pivotal roles crucial for upholding the hotel's reputation and ensuring utmost guest satisfaction. Through interactive sessions on order procedures, guest hospitality, and the significance of personal grooming, the trainees grasped essential skills vital for thriving in the dynamic hospitality sector.

Active participation characterized the visit, with trainees engaging in practical exercises such as bed-making, napkin folding, and customer interaction, further honing their skills and knowledge. The exposure underscored the myriad career opportunities within the hotel sector, emphasizing professionalism, hands-on learning, and continuous career advancement.
